The Call to Serve
Jesus said the greatest commandments are to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves. Serving others is one of the most tangible ways we can live out this calling and demonstrate God's love to the world.
Jesus as Our Example
Christ himself came not to be served, but to serve. Throughout His ministry, He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and cared for the marginalized. As His followers, we are called to follow His example.
Areas of Service
There are countless ways to serve others:
- Within the Church: Teaching, music ministry, hospitality, administration
- In the Community: Food banks, homeless shelters, youth programs
- Globally: Missions, disaster relief, supporting missionaries
- Daily Life: Helping neighbors, volunteering at schools, workplace ministry
Finding Your Calling
God has given each of us unique gifts and passions. Pray about where He is calling you to serve, consider your talents and interests, and look for opportunities that align with your heart for others.
The Joy of Service
While serving others requires sacrifice, it also brings incredible joy and fulfillment. When we serve, we experience God's heart for people and participate in His work of redemption in the world.
"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." - Mark 10:45

Thank you for this reminder about serving others. It's so easy to get caught up in our own lives and forget about those around us.
